A visit has therefore been arranged and will take place on Saturday 13 May 2023. A coach will leave Baildon around 8:45 (location to be confirmed) to arrive at the garden at 10:15. Members will have a full day to explore the garden. The full cost of the trip will be £10 per Member of Baildon Horticultural Society. Normal entrance to the garden would be £12.35 (excluding gift aid) and this price is possible because as an Affiliated Society we are entitled to a yearly free visit to an RHS garden for a group of up to 55. The Committee has also agreed to subsidise part of the travel costs.

The Committee anticipates that there may well be a lot of interest in the trip and therefore as the coach will hold a maximum of 48 passengers, allocation of a place on the coach will be on a “first come first served basis”. To secure your place please e-mail : newsletter@baildonhort.co.uk

The garden has a limited number of electric scooters and manual wheelchairs available for hire ( charge £5). If you need one of these please let me know ASAP as they need to be booked and paid for in advance, adding the cost to your booking.

You can also pay for this trip at either the Charlestown or Thompson Lane Hut.

If there is insufficient interest from Members by the end of the month then the trip may be opened up to non-members.
